Wisdom Tooth Removed...Awful Taste In Mouth and Yellowish Tongue?
Answers:
Go back and see your dentist. I had my upper right wisdom removed on Wednesday and all day yesterday I had a foul taste in my mouth but I have been rinsing with warm salt water as advised by my dentist and it's healing nicely already. You may have an infection which your dentist can sort out for you. Failing that - stop smoking!!
Time to quit smoking. Go back to the dentist and show the result. Could be infection. Smoking can cause that as well.
Call the dentist and get an emergency appointment. The awful taste and more than likely foul smell indicates infection/drainage which you may be swallowing in your sleep. You may need a second course of the antibiotics and definitely need to be seen by a dentist.
Were you smoking right after you got your wisdom teeth out? BAD! I've read that the awful taste in your mouth could be dry socket. You might have dislodged the clot that was forming where your tooth was. Call your oral surgeon ASAP and let him know what's going on. He can tell you better than we can.
