The most affective that I know of is ZOOM. It's a light that is used in dental offices that sort of jump starts the whitening procedure. They usually take an impression of your teeth and make you a custom fitted tray for both your upper and lower teeth to take home and whiten for a few more days if you wish. You'll also get some whitening gel to take home too. You can also use those trays for touch-ups later.

You can also use over-the-counter products. They all work. Check the label on the box. The higher the concentration of the active ingredient, the faster it works. But be aware, the stronger the stuff, the bigger chance there is for side affects (temporary tooth sensitivity). So while whitening I recommend using Sensodyne - or some kind of desensitizing toothpaste.
at a cheap price, i would go with crest white strips the 7 day box ofcourse. good luck
There are several products that work well for home whitening
crest strips work well and a tray is not needed to use them.

The best results of course can be accomplished at the dental office. There many products in use in dental office that combine bleaching products and light that produce dramatic results. Zoom is one of those products. In combination with chair-side bleaching the dentist will make trays that fit your teeth and send some bleaching gel home with you to use until you reach the results desired. You can also touch up your teeth in the following months should they stain or slightly darken--which does happen. But keep in mind, bleaching can cause sensitivity. You may have to use your trays every other day and invest in some fluoride rinses or tooth paste for sensitive teeth.
