Whats the best way to whiten teeth?

Without going to the doctor, and is not TOO expensive? Just a quick fix?

Take soem baking soda, and lemon juice (don't make it watery more paste like) and brush your teeth for about 4-5 minutes. It tastes awful, but it really makes an immediate difference.
Go to Wallgreens and buy a tooth whitning kit
I've heard that Crest Whitestrips hurt.
