Does anyone remember "swish"?
When I was in grade school (late 80's early 90's) we had to swish some sort of flouride to help keep our teeth healthy. They brought it to our classrooms either once or twice a month and we had to swish it around in our mouths for a full minute. What exactly was it and why isn't it done in schools anymore?
Answers:
I remember! Sometimes it was flavored like cherry medicine (yuck!) and sometimes it was everybody's favorite, bubblegum! I don't know why it isn't done anymore. I was always happy about it. Anything besides doing schoolwork lol.
It is a fluoride rinse. It still IS done in some schools, so I guess it may be a budget issue in others.
