Do braces hurt getting them on and off?
Answers:
Ow. I just got mine Monday the 26... Ow. Putting them on is nothing, don't worry. After... that's the problem. It does hurt a lot, no matter what people say. I'm sure the pain goes away eventually, but until then keep your favorite painkiller by your side at all times. Extra-Strength Tylenol works well. It feels really weird right when you get them on, it feels like your mouth won't close because of the braces. Tip: use the wax. They give it to your fro a reason. It helps, trust me. Be careful with hard foods, cut up stuff that hurts to chew. Sigh. Come, join the ranks of braces. Yay. Hope this didn't scare you half to death :)
You know, years ago when I was a young girl I had braces, and I dreaded it, I hated them. by the time I was told to take them off, I hid them away because I loved them!! My aunty threw them down the toilet in the end!
my kids both had braces and they were uncomfortable til they got use to them. the adjustment were a little uncomfortable too. but neither regrets getting them. after they got used to them they could eat almost anything except real hard food and had to watch the soda . good luck...
Getting them put on and taken off doesn't hurt because when they're first put on they don't put much tension on them and when it's time to take them off, there is no tension left. It's the regular adjustments between that hurt for awhile until the teeth start moving in the direction they're being forced to. You'll probably have to take a couple of aspirin the first day after an adjustment.
Oh braces...
Here's how it went for me.
Putting them on is really easy, but now since your teeth is in continuous stress.
So it would only get really sore, and you can't bite anything hard for maybe a couple days.
After that your teeth would get used to it and it won't hurt at all.
After each month they renew the bands in the braces, and they only get sore for maybe a short while.
I had them for 4 years, and they never bothered me. Things gets stuck in the braces though, that gets annoying lol.
Taking them off was easy too, it was just awkward because they had to clean the extra glue.
I'm scared of surgery and such, but putting braces was really was easy, sometimes people make too big deal about it.
It would be totally worth it. The worst it can get is getting a really sore mouth and a bit awkward putting them on and off. But i'm sure you can live with only a couple days of soreness.
it wont hurt...you'll just feel uncomfortable with that thing in your mouth.during the first few days it is recommended that you eat soft food...you'll have the sensation that your teeth is getting loose bt dont worry they wont fall!
