how much would it cost to get my wisdom teeth pulled?

also, would it be better if i went to another country to get dental work for a lower price?

Answers:
Also, if you have dental insurance, it *may* cover some, if not all, of the costs. Check with the company for details.

Depends who you get to do it. Dentists charge for it but anyone with a wrench or pliers could do it!
I got mine yanked for about $200 a pop, but that was a few years ago. Try Canada.
Depends on where you live. Before thinking of 'medical tourism', factor in the cost of travel and hotel stay.
I think I paid $450 for mine, all four, but I had really good dental insurance at the time. I went to an oral surgeon, mainly because I needed it done someplace where they could knock me out. I hate the dentist and I probably would have backed out if I had to be awake.

I'd really think long and hard about going to another country, especially if you factor in travel costs. No kind of travel is cheap these days, and if you go to a country where they don't have the sterilization, etc that we have here, you could wind up with a nasty infection. Treating that, plus dealing with long-term effects, could end up costing you well over the cost of the procedure here.

We lose enough work to other countries thanks to the idiot in the White House. Don't help him out!!
I got mine pulled over a decade ago and it was very cheap.
I was not knocked out.
If you have dental schools in your area give them a call and see what they charge.
It all depends on if oral surgery is required or if a simple extraction can do the trick. many times, wisdom teeth become impacted since many of us don't have enough room in our mouths for them to come in properly. It also depends on how much you can handle to "feel" while they are being removed. If you can get by with just a little shot of Novocaine or gas it will keep the cost down. Anesthesia will up the cost considerably and many insurance programs don't cover it unless you have an existing medical condition that would put you at risk without it, such as a heart condition.
like 200-500 for 2 teeth
I have a great dentist here where I live. He gives us Mexico City Airport employees really good deals. Mine, last thursday got removed and the trick cost me $30 USD :)
Geeze! Don't go another country, they don't have the same safety standards and disease control the United States has. Please, please, please go to your local dental school to get your wisdom teeth pulled, it is like 250 a tooth or so, but you'll want to check the prices at your local school, but you have to pay extra to get anesthesia only if you want it though.which you do! It's a safe procedure done at the dental school, good luck!
