Is it odd to get your wisdom teeth at 14?

I went to the doctor for really bad jaw pain and it turns out my wisdom teeth are coming in now. I've read that you get them around 18, why am I getting them now?

18 is the average but i have seen a kid as young as 12 with wisdom teeth coming in. Everyone is different so don't worry but be sure to take care of them especially if they are bothering you, tooth pain is the worst!

omg im turning 13 in october and mine are coming in too now i think!!
That is kinda early ,but probably nothing to worry about.
I think my son was 15 when I took his out - because they were bothering him. It's unusual, but not rare. I've seen a couple at age 14, but I can't recall a specific number. I do recall that the kids otherwise looked like they were 17 or 18, though. Sound familiar?
