These White Spots on my teeth...?
Answers:
Sounds like Dental Fluorosis to me, but could also be decalcification from lack of plaque removal... if this is true then the area must be watched carefully by a dentist as decalcification is the first stage of dental decay--it is the erosion of enamel. Once through the enamel the area is then considered a cavity and must be filled to restore health, function, and strength-- as well as aesthetics (the way your teeth look.)
Here is a link that will explain what flourosis is, it also has pictures. This will be easier than explaining the condition and causes in detail:

If it is flourosis, there is no simple way to erase the spots, bleaching may help, veneers will cover them but you will have to be older to have these procedures done. You can try an over the counter bleaching method, it may help.
Try a whitening treament from the dentist. The bleaching or whitening can help your teeth look as white as the spots or get rid of the spots. I am sorry about the root canal but you will get through this! :)
Actually, the white spots could be caused by an excess of calcium in the tooth itself. My brother and I both have them and our dentist told us that this is most likely the cause. Nothing will get rid of them but you can try tooth whitening when you are over the age of 18 to try and make them less noticeable. Talk to your dentist about them when you see him next.
My son is the same way. Have they been white ever since you got your front teeth? Our dentist said my sons came from either a high fever or something stressful that happened when these teeth were coming in. He also said the only thing he could think of that might help is to bleach his teeth. Although he said they wouldn't do it until he is 18. maybe the store whiteners may help. Ask your Mom
Buddy, bottom line is that until you see your dentist again, you will never know whether or not those white spots are permanent. Teeth are important and are yours for life! You can't simply decide one day to start brushing to look good for your grad or for a date. The brushing and flossing now will help prevent more problems on your other teeth.
I suggest you find out from your dentist how you can avoid this in the future.
What may very well be happening to your teeth is something called 'Dental Fluorosis'. which is the 'ingesting' of fluoride over your lifetime so far. and you can thank the gov. for that! They have decided that putting fluoride in our drinking water will help our teeth! Topically ,yes in our system, no! Fluoride is a bi-product of aluminum and should NOT be ingested! and is toxic! start using only organic tooth cleanser and no longer drink water that is treated with fluoride..I am very POed at the gov that they think they can medicate us without our permission - and the white spots on your teeth are proof of that! on top of that don't fully trust your dentist!
check out this site or Goggle 'Dental Fluorosis'
