Can dentists do Physicals?

Can dentists perform vasectomy, circumcision, catheterization and other short medical procedures?

Can dentists act as physicians in a general hospital and prescribe medicines?

Answers:
No, obviously not because they are not trained for these procedures(mind you, these procedures may be short in duration but they require specialist intervention)
There are some procedures such as oral surgery(which also requires certain surgical aspects such as stitching,incision.etc.) which a dentist can do.
but There are dentists who after further training become ORAL&MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEONS(They are allowed to do extensive surgeries related to the oral cavity,maxilla,mandible.etc. because they are trained for that. However a plain dentist with no further surgical qualification can not usually do extensive surgical procedures.
and obviousl dentist cannot act as physicians because they are dentist, they are not phsicians but dentists can prescribe medicines related to dentistry or dental diseases because this is there field of study.

not unless they are qualified physicians as well.
They can prescribe medications, after all, how do they extract a wisdom tooth and not give you something for the pain? As far as performing other procedures, I think their main focus is dental and sinuses. I doubt they would have the experience or want to perform some of the listed procedures. Best to leave that to a specialist in those areas!
No because they do not complete medical school. They complete dental school which is comprehesive in their own field and understand the effects of the medications they prescribe for post-dental procedures; however, those who complete medical school are required to complete a rotation in internal medical and family practice. This gives them a comprehensive overview of the human as a whole.even if they do later decide to go into dermatology, podiatry, surgery, etc.
no their train is not for that job
In general speaking, NO. It's beyond their scope of practice. Unless, the dentist have two degress such as DDS and MD, which is common among the oral surgeons. If I were you stay away from that dentist.
NO
no they are NOT MEDICAL DOCTORS
If you were in a cave in Afghanistan and needed some emergency surgery, I'd look for a dentist, but otherwise - no.
