If you haven't worn your retainer for a month, and your teeth moved a little, can you move them back easily?
I mean, if I start wearing my retainer again, will my teeth move back to how they were after my braces came off? They haven't moved A LOT, just a little bit.
I don't want to get braces again or anything, obviously.
The area that I'm concerned about is my two front teeth. They used to be right next to each other, with no space between them. Now, there is a very, very small gap.
Is there anything that I can do to move my teeth back?
Thanks.
Answers:
Yes of course you can. If they still fit wear them. My son retainer was just a bit off when he got it and his teeth shifted to the shape of the retainer. The orthodontist had to quickly make him a new one and it moved the teeth right back. Since is't only been a very short time wear it constantly for a week or so and see what happens. When the teeth seem back in place wear it nightly every night for the rest of your life and your teeth will stay perfect.
Hope this works for you.
no
If you go to your orthodontist, they will be very upset with you. Your retainer will not fit again.
Pls consult your dentist doctor for proper guide.
You should definitely wear your retainer because your teeth will move slightly back. It will be difficult to move them back into place once your gap gets bigger. I have a friend who wore braces for two and a half years. She did not wear her retainer after getting her braces off and three of her teeth are out of place now.
Definitely check with your dentist because it may be too late and your retainer may not fit.
start wearing them again now!
I did the same thing- they will move back. Just stick with it and get it over with.
If you're lucky! See Skeeter's answer for correct information and good luck.
hopefully they should still fit. but its going to be a pain to wear. the instant you put them on, get ready for 2 minutes of hell. then its back to normal..its okay you arent the only person who does this.
