Answers:
IT's a two year program.
You will need to take pre-reqs like Biochemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & phisiology. Your Econ, Soc, Written & Oral Comm should transfer. You also need a psych. course.
Then comes the Core courses. It's a great field, do it if you have time to devote to all the studies you need. Be prepared for waiting lists, some schools have 4 to 5 year waiting lists.
go to school and get a degree in dental work.
You will have to go to collage and then to training. You will need a high school diploma.
first make sure yer teeth r really clean! LOL
so dont waist time.find a good job
go to the school find out the course program and how long it runs..probably lil less than two years since you allready got you core courses finished.
Some dentists will train their own dental hygienists if they have the time. So formal training isn't always possible.
Your Local Community College.Find a program go through like everyone else. But why would a programmer go into a field that deals with people's mouths all day.
research the dental schools in your area on the internet . then go and apply at the school of your choice.
Here's the web site for Colorado School of Dentistry.

They'll have a similar website for any programs that are in your area.
