Had wisdom tooth taken out 4 days ago. when can I start eating solid food? I'm scared to even try to chew.

How long did it take you guys to start eating solid food? After your post-surgery dentist visit (7 days)?

Mine were all impacted and hard as heck to get out. My mouth ached for a month and I had all four out at once.
Your dentist should have given you a discharge slip after the procedure which outlines what you are to do and not do. Otherwise call him.
You don't want to dislodge the clots - and don't use a straw. Stick to soft things for a few days.
WOW, i had all four of mine out and was nibbling carrots the next day, then again it was hard to chew using only my front teeth. You should be good to go by now though, just take it easy, i.e. fruit, softer veggies (not like me)
i was eating with in 1 day after the swelling went down it was fine
just becarful of what side you chew on
i ate yogurt and baby fruit for a week
I was 17 when I had mine out too. All 4 were impacted and it was a tough procedure (how would I know-I was out!) 24 hours later I was in lots of pain and starving. I figured that I would hurt whether I ate or not, so I called Domino's and had pizza. Then I was still in pain, but I wasn't hungry any more!
