Wisdom teeth removal?
Answers:
what about it??
not everyone has to have their wisdom teeth taken out. it is up to your dentist for this decision. i had mine taken out and it was very painful and took me a week to recover, but some people have theirs taken out and are back at work the next day. this all depends on how much surgery the dentist must do and whether or not the teeth are impacted beneath the jaw bone as mine were.
Getting the wisdom teeth removed can result in having a loss of wisdom. The same applies to the eye teeth. Getting them removed will make it difficult to see what you are chewing.
and your question is ? does it hurt yes, for a few day yes, will they give you pain medicine yes , be eating light for a few days yes, hope i was of some help
I've had three removed, ouch! I was lucky, and didn't have a lot of pain, or complications. I did have them removed on separate occasions, though. It can be a pretty rough experience, I know people who had bruised cheeks, and were laid up for the better part of a week. Myself, I was back at work the next day. I'm not really sure what you're asking... Hope it helped
Mine were impacted so they had to dig them out of the bone. I packed my jaws on the outside with ice for about 6-8 hours total after the surgery, so I had no swelling and no pain. The next day, I ran into someone I knew and she wanted to know when I was supposed to get the surgery. Just make sure you follow your doctor's directions about eating and care for your mouth after surgery, during your recovery period. Everything will be fine.
I didn't need mine removed. But I have the "old fashioned" sort of jaw.
The human jaw used to be able to accommodate the wisdom teeth, but since our eating habits have changed over the last several thousand years, our jaws have progressively gotten smaller, and have less room in them. Some people don't even have wisdom teeth anymore. My friend didn't have a set in his jaw at all, so he didn't need to worry about them.
My wife had hers removed, and was out of commission for about a week. Her sister got hers out at the same time, and bounced back in no-time. I hear the holes don't fully heal for a while. You probably shouldn't eat popcorn for a week or two.
My dentist told me that in Germany, the dentists take out the last molar, and slide the wisdom tooth forward. That sounds more painful than just removing the wisdom teeth, doesn't it?
Good luck, and I hope whatever happens doesn't hurt you any!
