anything to take for a knee bending, screaming toothache? the aspirins and tylenol aren't working.?

Answers:
Cloves. Either powdered or whole. They have anesthetic properties and the oil from them is what dentists use for numbing the area that they're going to shoot novicane into.

smoke a hooter
welcome to my world.my teeth hurt like hell right now, they just changed my braces..
Take ibuprofen.

You may need to go to the ER and get it checked. If you have a tooth abscess you can start antibiotics even before you see a dentist.
go to the dentist. if u cant go then make an appointment right away.unless it cuz of the dentist that they hurt then take tylenol advil or maybe go to a pharmacist and ask them for a toothache medicine
Go to the pharmacy and buy Orajel or a similair product.
Get some Oil of Clove, it is usually sold at all pharmacies. put some on a cotton ball and bite down on it.
Try Ibuprofen, it is an anti-inflammatory, it might help. Advil, Motrin, are some of the more common suppliers. They work for me!
My grandfather used to put clove oil on my tooth. I have also heard that holding a capful of peroxide in your mouth (DON'T SWALLOW) for about 10 minutes several times a day takes the edge off. Try Anbesol or another OTC pain reliever. Good luck and call your dentist. They may have an after hours emergency number to get you some relief. If it's that bad, expect antibiotics first, dental work next.
try cloves. clove oil or anbesol. You can also get tylenol 1's (with codeine) from the pharmacist, no prescription. Try ibuprofen, sometimes when the tylenol stops working, I'd switch and it would help. Ice packs too! NO heat! I'll pray for you, I've been there and know what it's like!
Oh, and I've heard that cinnamon helps, too(haven't tried it though)
I also rinsed my mouth a lot with cool water, helps temporarily.
you should alternate tylenol and Ibphr. every two hours. If that is not helping you should really go to the ER. Because it is just going to get worse. Trust me I know, I just went through it and when I went to the ER they gave me some Vicodan. That helped a LOT until they were able to remedy the problem.
Boy there ain't nothing worse,i had one and warm water stopped it for awhile and also if you can get some sensodine toothpaste will help until you get to a dentist, taking aspirin doesn't help at all!
Panadeine Forte is a real good pain killer but it's a prescription drug.
At bed time:
2 Tylenol (500mg each)
4 ibuprofren (200mg each)

Wake up:
3 Ibuprofren - then every 6 hours
then 3 hours later:
2 Tylenol - then every 6 hours

DO not exceed Tylenol dosage on bottle - can cause liver damage.

See a dentist - probably infection (abscess), maybe root canal needed?
you probably have decay way down in the tooth, and will need a root canal. the dentist will give you something like keflex which fights the infection. works fast - 1/2 day - and then once the infection is under control, he can do the root canal stuff. not so bad, actually.
If it's after hours, I would call my doctor's office and have the answering service page him/her. Your doctor can phone in a prescription pain killer to a 24 hour pharmacy.

Also, you might want to pick up some Orajel or Anbesol. Alone, they don't do much for knee bending, screaming toothaches, but they will provide added relief if you use them with the prescription pain killers.
Swear by Clove oil too. Even my hubby loves it. Try a salt rinse or baking soda rinse. It helps to draw out the infection.

Root canals are worse than they sound. Mine had no pain and I was pain free immediately after. What a relief!
I have a low tolerance for pain when it comes to my teeth, so I would be on the phone trying to see a dentist TODAY! I can be very persistent when it comes to a toothache. There are temporary things out there to use, but its only going to prolong the inevitable. My dad, use to say, swish around a shot of whiskey in that place and hold it there for a while to numb the pain. I have read that peroxide can help to, but I wouldn't use it if you have any silver crowns in your mouth, because it causes some type of reaction, and that will hurt too. If you don't have any crowns, it might help. Good Luck!
