What Can You Eat After Getting Your Tongue Pierced?

I just got my tongue pierced and I need to know what you can, and can't, eat. It's hurts, and I want to also know how I could help the healing process along. Thanks!

Ice cream!
I ate soup and popcicles for a couple days then started back on regular food.
What will help the healing process is to take the ring out and letting the hole heal completely. Any piercing (except for a hole or two at the most in your ears) is nasty, common and makes you look trashy. You'll have nothing but problems with infections in it, food will get caught in it, you talk funny as long as you have it.
WHY PUT A HOLE IN YOUR TONGUE THAT CAN POSSIBLY BECOME SEVERELY INFECTED AND CAUSE YOU A MULTITUDE OF PROBLEMS? THE MOUTH HAS MANY MORE BACTERIA THAN THE OPPOSITE END, WHICH PASSES OUT DIGESTED FOOD.
I lived on mashed potatoes and soup..sometimes mixed together for variety lol...stay away from baked beans as you can mistake the ball for a bean and bite down on it (verrrry painful!)
After a couple of days it will get easier and you will find that you can eat on one side of your mouth with your tongue on the other. Don't eat overly hot or spicy foods either as this can hurt too.
