How long does it take for the gum to heal after a tooth has been pulled? It was a tooth from the back?
I have a funny taste in my mouth since it's been pulled. It makes me think my breath stinks. It's not sore or anything.
Answers:
maybe 3-4 weeks.you're just tasting the clotting blood.
I have had seven teeth pulled out :( of which three were wisdom (in the back). But this is not due to cavities, rather for wearing braces in school. The wisdome teeth were pulled out later.
It should not take you more than a day to heal, at most. The funny rubbery feeling could be after effects of the local anaesthesia. Sleep it off and have lots of ice-cream.
(goody!).
If you still persist in not feeling 100 % better in a day or so, contact your dentist.
kbenji33 is right, so vote for her for getting here first. It usually takes 3-4 weeks before you feel completely back to normal again.
