What is sulcus gingiva?

It's about dentistry

Answers:
The dental sulcus is the "free tissue" or unattached tissue that surrounds each tooth. This "pocket" is normally 3mm posterior, usually 1-2mm anterior. This is the area that retains plaque forming calculus and tartar which irritates and inflames the tissue causing the development of gingivitis. Hope I've been of some help and good luck!
