I get my braces off tomorrow, what can I expect?
Answers:
u should expect not havin braces anymore..
my teeth felt really week at first and then they started to hurt for a few days
yay!! thats great! compared to what theyre like, it doesnt really hurt. when they take them off, youll want to lick your teeth, but dont, because there is nasty gel on them! youre teeth will feel and look huge to you, but dont fret, its only you! you might have to get a retainer for a while, and those are hard to talk in, so jsut practice talking when youre alone. congrats!
It didn't hurt me. Well, if you believe that it's gonna hurt then it will, but if you believe that it's not gonna hurt then it won't. Simple as that.
It took like an hour on mine...they only make you open your mouth. LOL
Good luck having your braces off!
rock on ;)

Your mouth will feel funny because it's used to forming around the braces. You will immediately have your teeth cleaned. You will then constantly run your tongue over your teeth. Especially now that they are straight you will be amazed at how they are aligned now. Fill your diet w/ calcium rich foods from now on! To strenghthen the teeth and gums. I would gargle w/ salt water 1x a week . The teeth have to "settle" during this period. You may have to wear something at night whilst you sleep for a while.
brace is worn on teeth, while braces are worn to hold up trousers.Your brace removal won'r hurt though you will feel funny for a few days
I got mine off 2 weeks ago. I only had top braces and they took about 15 minutes or so to get off and cleaned. The worst thing was when the brackets were broken off from my teeth, it sounded like my teeth were breaking too. The sound was awful! He then used something that sounded like a drill to clean the glue off the teeth but the process didn't hurt. My teeth afterwards looked big and felt slimy and long. I kept running my tongue down them by habit in the first week. They felt like that for a week or so but I am used to them now. I have to wear a clear plastic retainer during the night which also took getting used to. I have to wear it every night for 4 months and then I can start to ease up some. I go back in 4 months. I love my teeth now and so will you! How exciting!!
I wore braces for 4 years, and I honestly felt nothing when they came off. They were removed in a matter of a couple minutes. You won't have pain. You will likely be fit for a retainer very soon after your braces come off. You will probably wear your retainer for the rest of your life, full-time for about a year then at night thereafter. I did notice, however, my teeth looked pretty dingy afterwards and have really sensitive teeth as well. Good luck!
It hurts a little when they remove the bonding from your teeth but otherwise it's o.k. My retainer bothered me, as it still had to move my teeth, it took about a week for the retainer to get comfortable.
I'm so happy with the way my smile and teeth look now, it was worth every "adjustment" (you know what I mean!)
It won't hurt.
I will feel sooo good to not have that metal on your teeth, so smooth.
Congratulations!
Oh, wear your retainer to keep them straight. : )
ooo good for u
ok well the actual taking them off takes like literally 5 seconds. the orthodontist just uses a tool to basically pry them off from wat i remember. it doesnt hurt, but u feel like u have no teeth b/c ur soo used to the pressure and then u dont have pressure on ur teeth anymore. they will probably make impressions of ur mouth so they can make ur retainer (u probably had that before u got ur braces on) and u will go back in about a week to get the retainer. good luck!!
AFTER YOU HAVE TAKEN OFF YOUR BRACESE YOU WILL HAVE STRAIGHT PRETTY TEETH I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN THERE
