Does Braces Hurt After You Get Them Tightened?
Answers:
Yes but a little tylenol or Ibruprofen helped me. Also eat something as soon as you can, it helps with the pain.
I also found that getting a sports mouthpiece, the gel kind, and putting it in boiling water for like 5 seconds then putting it in your mouth and sucking works. The heat helps to alleviate some pain.
>>yes, that is if they use the same technology they did when I was young. You can expect it to hurt for a few days.
Sometimes. For a day or two.
It is sore for a few hours, but it really doesnt hurt if you take some tylenol.
yes but sometimes its only onlike certin teeth that means the teeht r moving
Yes, very much so or at least it did when I had them. It almost makes you feel like your teeth are loose too. Fortunately it only lasts a few days after each tightening.
Yep...usually they dont start hurting until a few hours after you leave the ortho-so take that time to get and take some advil!
I had braces twenty years ago and I can vividly rember that they were quite uncomfortable for around two days afterwards. However, I don't think there is anything these days that can really prevent this pain from occurring, at least not without painkillers.
