when can you smoke after getting your tooth pulled?
Answers:
Smoking will make it hurt longer "body wise"or it depends i guess what tree your smoking from
NO! It could cause dry socket. VERY painful!
It is best to leave off smoking for at least 24 hours after the tooth extraction especially if you have stitches in place. Smoking increases the risk of developing an infection in the gums especially if it is an open wound.
Your dentist will tell you or its not a very good dentist.
cannabis
24 hours
you should try to quit smoking period.
Keep up the smoking, and then you can lose all of your ugly brown teeth!
The dentist generally wants you to wait 2 days to give the socket a chance to heal (scab) every time you inhale you risk pulling out any clotting that has taken place (medically called dry socket) very painful but me iam a smoker and my stand is ill risk it and smoke as soon as the Novocaine wears off just gentle it can be done GOOD LUCK BE CAREFUL
hello dont even smoke it really bad for you!
if i remember correctly wait at least an hour, believe me a dry socket hurts worse than getting the actual tooth pulled, or just ask your dentist
Never. You should stop - it's not healthy.
Usually after 24-48 hours, the socket area had been covered by the gum which is healing together. If you have to have that cigarette before the 48 hours, then at least take light hits from the cigarette so you don't re-open the gum area over the socket and disturb the healing process. Cigarette smoking causes tooth damage and loss anyway, so you may want to consider stopping (instead of quitting, because quitters always start back and people that just STOP smoking have the mentality that they have overcome the need for the cigarette).
I smoked a cigarette a few hours after I had mine pulled and was fine! If it irritates you then swish with warm water!
