i wish i could say it dosent but it lets just say its not going to feel great
You are definitely doing it the smart way. You will feel really beaten up for 24 to 48 hours and after than it's not bad. I found that Advil and Aleve actually worked better for me to handle the post-op pain, but you may need something a bit stouter. talk to the Dentist and see what he can do.
Before you have the surgery. build a comfortable nest. someplace a bit dark and quiet with something for entertainment and plan to sleep a lot that first 24 hours.
Good Luck. that is the ONE thing I would never want to do again.
yes, after
Not really. You'll go to sleep and wake up and your mouth will feel like it's full of cotton. As the anesthetic wears of then you will have some soreness but it's not bad.
Nah, didnt hurt that much. Uncomfortable but not painful really.
I had mine pulled and it didn't hurt at all.
omg it does! I bleed for days.i was out of it for a week. Pain is unbeiliavable.I drueled couldnt eat or chew, all i could stand was milkshakes..same went for my guy to who had his out recently. Its like the second most painful thing ive ever endured.
no, not at all, the needle is the worst bit
Not as much as when they grow in. It'll be sore for a couple of days, but they'll give you a prescription for that.
Everyone is different..Mine didn't hurt at all..Some people go through agony..Good luck
Getting them out doesn't hurt.I didn't feel a thing. Of course, I had the laughing gas. For about a week, I wasn't it pain, but I wasn't comfortable, either. I ate lots of pudding and milkshakes. :-)
It does not hurt as bad as you probably think it will. You just wont really be able to eat for the first day or two. Just be glad your getting all 4 done at once.
ask my brother. he had his pulled out and all that was left were gigantic holes in the back of his mouth. he couldn't eat much for a few days. like tuna, yogurt.
Yes
you not gonna die, don't worry
In my experience, there is quite a bit of pain and swelling during your recovery time. Also, you can end up swallowing a fair bit of blood as it drains out during the course of your recovery. I would hope you would be prescribed a good pain medication, though, and have enough time off work, school, etc. to get the rest you need.
The really painful part for me (I have a high tolerance for pain) was being limited in what I could eat.
I hope the procedure goes well for you. I will pray for you. May God bless and keep you.
I will tell you the truth. I was terrified about having my wisdom teeth out. But you don't really feel a thing. You just fall asleep without even knowing it. And you wake up and your mouth is kind of puffy. They give you lots of strong pain killers too, in case you do feel any pain. I didn't feel any pain after mine, I just got bruises along my chin. Some people feel pain and some don't. You can't really tell if you're going to or not.
I had mine out 3 months ago.
It all depends how far the teeth have grown into your jaws. The dentist broke a piece of of one of my teeth, the other one came out in 5 minutes. The one that was stuck took about half an hour to get out. I only had 2 wisdom teeth.
The recover is slow, but if the dentist takes the teeth out without being too rough you will heal quickly. Remember the ice packs, they really help to bring the swelling down. Some people look like chipmunks due to the swelling, but not everyone has it that hard.
Don't eat food that is difficult to chew, stuff like joyghurt and ice cream is perfect. Take a few days off from work too as the pain killers they will give you are quite strong.
Good luck, I hope everything works out well for you.
It really depends on your teeth & your pain tolerance. The first 2 I got pulled were HORRIBLE. They had a definite hoook to where the dentist couldn't just pull them, he had to drill them into pieces to pull out. The problem with this was my mouth was open for too long & it caused some nerve damage (I had no feeling in part of my face for a week).
On the other hand, I just had the top 2 pulled a few weeks ago & had no problems whatsoever. I was back at work the next day. Sometimes it's bad sometimes it's not so much, no one can really tell you how it'll be for you.
Yes. everything hurts and bleeds.
Au contraire. It feels great when the anesthetic wears off. Great fun, you'll love it. I mean a week or so after it wears off.
Hi I have had 2 wisdom teeth out under a local anasthetic and it didnt hurt.. honestly your having general so you wont know what the hell is going on..
Your mouth might feel strange when you wake up or you might be a little upset because you will probably be scared when you go to sleep with the anasthetic. but you will be fine.
One thing to remember.. when you have an anasthetic if you are upset, scared or crying when you go to sleep you wake up exactly the same, you dont realise its all been done. But if you go to sleep feeling happy, thinking of something you really really enjoy then you wake up feeling really happy. (that my one bit of advice)
Your mouth might feel strange, i can only describe the feeling as (jelly like) where your teeth have been taken out. Normal painkillers will help if you have any discomfort. You might find it strange or you might be scared to eat at first but you will be surprised how quickly the gums heal..
Good Luck
You won't even remember actually getting them removed, as you will be more or less incoherent. Afterward, the level of discomfort depends on your age (i.e. how developed the root system is). The worst part of it for me was having 'dry socket' in which your jaw bone become exposed (very painful) and gaining 20 lbs in three weeks from the steroids my oral surgeon had me on (I would recommend skipping the steroids, as I'm not certain of their purpose). You'll be glad when it's behind you!
nope but ur cheeks get swollen
Better not get them all done at once1
It's not as bad as you think it will be. I had all four of mine pulled at the same time as well. The doctor will prep you for the procedure. Either one or two nurses will be in the room and they will administer the anesthesia. You won't feel much other than maybe a little pressure. When they are done, they will stuff your cheeks with gauze so that the bleeding can stop. They should give you some sort of prescription pain medicine so follow the directions carefully, it's there for a reason and it really does help! The pain and swelling should go down after a few days. I kept ice packs on my cheeks for the first two days and it seemed to help a lot. One of the sites that they pulled a tooth from didn't heal as quick as the others and started to hurt after two days so I went back to the doctor and they put clove soaked gauze into the incision to stop the pain and it worked immediately.
A few days of slight pain is all that it amounted to, and I was very nervous too!
not as bad as people tell you.its uncomfortable for a day or two at the worst
mine didnt hurt but i also had to have mine surgically removed. I mean like they put me to sleep and every thing. and they give you lots of painkillers so if it does happen to hurt you will have somethin to help get rid of the pain. dont worry about it though. the more you think it will hurt the more it will hurt. so just dont fret!
Good Luck!
not if your unconsious.
Sometimes it hurts but if u tell your dentist that you are worried he will talk you through it and they can numb your gum. So dont worry your dentist will help you through it. Good luck xxx
