Why does our National Health Service exclude our Teeth?
Why is it in the UK that we can get free consultation and treatment and subsidised medication for any part of our body apart from our teeth?
Answers:
It is the same in Australia. Dental health is very important and lobbying is being done to include dental fees with doctors fees in Medicare.
Don't like our chances, it is not high on the governments agenda.
Cause your not going to die having bad teeth! Durrrrr
because certain serrvices like dental or comsetic dentsirty are one of those classed as too expensive for the NHS to fund and for the taxpayer and for the government thereofre certain service3s that are importnat and are neccessary are gran ted and can be funded by the NHS and therefore is free to us free under special circumstabces such as eyesight because it is essential because well have to see.
You still get subsidised treatment, it's just a lot more expensive than it used to be.
Good point
NHS does cover our teeth in the sense that if you are lucky enough to get a NHS dentist, your costs will be subsidised.
However, seeing as most of us can't get an NHS dentist, I agree that's it's pretty stupid really.
Because they have no money left after wasting most of it on expensive computers for people who only use Microsoft Word, and paying Feng Shui consultants to rearrange the waiting rooms.
