How do you whiten your teeth with water peroxide and baking soda??
Answers:
i have been doing this for years...
just basically make a paste of water, peroxide.and baking soda...and brush your teeth...daily
there is almost nothing safer than peroxide and baking soda...
mix the 2 and rinse and gargle for a min or 2
my grandma used to do this-cheaper than products now! just dip your brush in water and then in the baking soda. I am not sure about peroxide-never heard of that. ask your dentist about that. but water and baking soda is safe. not great tasting but safe
skip the baking soda...it's very abrasive.and you don't NEED to use it with the peroxide to whiten your teeth...
all you need to do is mix 1 part peroxide with the same amount of water.rinse for a few seconds...and spit ( it will foam.and you will probably have to rinse and spit again )
do this twice a day...
works just a good as the expensive stuff everyone buys..and peroxide only costs about 50 cents a bottle.
hydrogen peroxide at a conc of 1% would work... but there might be some discomfort to your gums when you start to use it. the peroxide can get into every tiny lesion in your gums where cellular catalase converts it to water and oxygen gas... the oxygen gas cant escape quickly enough and so it builds up under your gum skin and can be seen as areas of whitening on your gums - this goes away after 20mins or so, but can cause some mild pain at the site
Peroxide of any sort is bad for your body and could damage, burn and weaken your gums, any swallowing would be very bad for you. Peroxide is basically bleach. Dentists are trained and have the nescessary equipment to keep chemicals away from you lips, gums and tongue. Never take risks with your health!!
