assuming you mean immune boosting nutrients given in a supplemental form just gives your immune system the nutrients it needs to function normally. Naturally occuring vitamine C or synthetic acsorbic acid or ester C in super high doses. antioxidents in general, zinc just to name a few, all support the immune system nutritionally so as far as side effects...from a superdose of C increased energy and wellbeing especially with the synergistic B's and amino's. I think its Niacin/zinc that can cause flushing of the face. Anything natural in food form is just food and it feeds, no crazy stuff. The immune system works by virtue of the proper balance of nutrients even an impaired or suppressed immune system can be maintained well enough to protect the body.
