What is a natural way to ease the pain of menstrual cramps?
Besides exercise.any other remedies?
Answers:
As others have said, yep, hot water. Draw a nice, hot bath and relax in it for a while. Chocolate also helps. Seriously. There are chemicals in chocolate which relieve pain and help elevate your mood. There's a reason why so many women crave chocolate during their period! :)
*Eyes up the answers* Menstrual cramps are psychological? WTF? Yes, the fact a woman's uterus spasming to push out blood and tissue is purely imaginary, I'm sure. Jackass.

just warm it up and lie down with it
get one of those thermous bottles, fill it up with hot water and keep it on your stomach when you lay down, or if you have school or work get the, i think it's called something like therma care? it's a sticky heat patch, there's ones for your stomach, they really help me out, hope it helps you.

i don't think about it. in my opinion, a great deal of the pain is psychological. if you can get passed that, it pretty much soothes on it's own. :) good luck.
marijuana,unfortunatly its illegal
If you "knead" your stomach or use a circular motion with both hands on your stomach where it hurts for a few minutes, this will often stop the pain for awhile.
Heat is good too. A heating pad or those stick on ones that basically act as a traveling heating pad work well.
I found if you are a smoker try not to smoke as much and stand as much as possiable. Walking helps to or online shopping lol something to get your mind off of it. Otherwise I like my MIDOL and thats not illegal lol
Take a hot bath and lie on a heating pad or put it on top of your cramping area and relax.

Bill Gottlieb's Alternative Cures recommends:
Motherwort (an herbal remedy); omega fatty acids; Vitamin B6; niacin; vitamins C and E; Calcium and magnesium.
I suggest 1) A good multivitamin formulated for women; 2) an essential fatty acid oil supplement; 3) calcium-magnesium-zinc tablets 3 times daily (1 or 2 daily on non cramping days); and 4) A good antioxidant formula.5) B50 complex during the period.
Other herbalists suggest ginger, valerian, and black haw as helpful.
Drink some hot tea. And eat chocolate! Hey it works for me. On a serious note anything warm helps. Cold drinks are not recommended because they cause you have blood clots, thus causing you to cramp.
ADD GINGER AND GARLIC TO YOUR FOOD
Flaxseed oil and the optimal health system.
That info is on my page.
I use a heating pad and take Tylenol, good luck.
