What are the health benefits for using sasparilla or hoarhound.?
I think these are herbs. Sasparilla( I think) is used in rootbeer and hoarhound is used in a candylike cough drop.

sarsaparilla use to be use by athletes and bodybuilders for enhance performance muscle gain and recovery it was claim to have testosterone and others hormone like substances .Other that that rheumatism inflammation fungus infections and syphilis also is hepatoprotective it helps the liver.The last time i saw real sarsaparilla was in the 1990 after that what is sold in the market today is sarsaparilla but different species that don't have the same properties as the Mexican. Hoarhound is use as a Diuretic and for sore throat but it has allot of unofficial uses.The stuf in rootbeer is only flavoring not the herbs
