How do you perform chiropractic on yourself?
I'm very strong and I can easily crack joints all along my back myself while standing. Anyone know any practical guides to performing chiropractic on yourself?

Bearing in mind that this is a very mild form of adjustment, here are some helpful tips:
Lay on the sofa or bed flat on your back. Bring your leg on the far side of the edge over and let it hang over the side of the couch/bed for a number of minutes then repeat on the other side. Keep the shoulders on the surface of the bed/sofa.
Have a friend place both hands on each side of the spine starting at the lowest ribs. Have the "receiver" take a deep breath and as the person exhales "ride" the chest down and when the person gets to the last of his exhalation continue to press down a little further for a few seconds. With each breath, move a few inches up the spine until ending below the neck.
Take a volleyball or soccer ball and sit on the floor with legs straight out in front of you. Place the ball behind your back and lay back over it. With your feet flat on the ground, "roll" around on the ball until you find the "ouchy" spots. When you find those spots gently roll back and forth over them.
It's not good to try and adjust yourself. It can pull things out of place and cause more pain. Stretching is the best thing for you to do. Leave the rest to a licensed chiropractor.
What you are doing to yourself is not "Chiropractic", it is simply releasing gases that build up in the joints. There is no way to "adjust" yourself. A licensed Chiropractor, which I am, has had many years of training to know how, when and where to do a proper adjustment. This "self cracking", if done wrong and carelessly, my cause further harm, now and into the future. The more you "crack", the more unstable the joint becomes which in time leads to arthitic problems.
