Is it safe to take two sleeping pills at once?

The sleeping pills I'm taking are 50mg each & the directions say take one, but that just doesn't seem to be enough for me. I don't know if it's safe to take two of them at the same time though.

Answers:
IMPORTANT: DO not take more of a drug without knowledge of the drug or without a doctor or pharmacist's instruction.

Talk to an all night drugstore's pharmacist to get your best answer tonite. Don't have one in your town? Then look up the name of your medicine on the web at pubmed.com. Read the part about contraindications and side effects.

No. It is definitely NOT SAFE to take more than the prescribed dosage as taking more could lead to severe complications. You must get the advice of your doctor first.
You should be asking your doctor that question. If you prefer to research it yourself, google the name of your product for more information. If you know the ingredient(s), google that too.

The question of whether doubling your dose is safe depends on many variables. For example, what else are you taking? What conditions do you have? This is not the kind of question you let just anyone answer for you.

Lastly, you should look into why you can't sleep and what safer alternative treatments might relieve your insomnia.
Your refill is the counter. Mellow out cause you may not have one for every night.
Sleepig pills should be take according to weight
stick to the dosage on the bottle until you talk to your doctor and maybe he will have something else you could try.
