Pharmacy Mistake ?

I just got 3 of my medicines refilled today. The Pharmacy messed up 2 or the 3 I got filled. And the one they actually got right was the most important one thank goodness.
Anyway I was looking on WebMD to see if it was just a different MG of the pill.

One of them was, I take Allegra-D, 24 Hour. They gave me Allegra-D 12 Hour. When it says on the bottle 24 Hour, the pills are 12hrs. Im taking them back dont worry.

The next medicine is Zoloft (Sertraline), 100MG. Usually those pills are small, well smaller than what they gave me. They are JUST about the same color, a real light yellowist color, the Zoloft pill is not round but has curved edges and has straight sides kind of rectangular shaped. and it says on it on one side "Zoloft" and on the other "100 MG"
the "unknown pill" is oval like rectangualr shaped no straight edges and says "9 3" and "7|77"

If anyone knows what this pill is please help. I am not taking this, I am taking it back, but I want to know what it is, ty

The Zoloft sounds like a generic form. I used to take Zoloft and I remember seeing that. It might be a different dosage, and not generic, but I do remember those numbers on Zoloft.

The pharmacy was probably out of the 24hr Allegra-D so they substituted the 12 hour.

sounds like they tried to give you a generic version & charge you for the name brand
Yea I would go back and ask them just to make sure and be on the safeside. Accidents do happen since we are not perfect, although this is scary so it is best you are an informed consumer.

I didn't know Zoloft had a generic, maybe it is new.
I agree that you probably got sertraline and not zoloft. Check the prescription label, it usually contains a description of what the pill should look like inside. If it matches, you shouldn't worry. Sounds like they might have not had any 24hr allegra in stock, so they probably gave you 12-hr and forgot to relable and redirect it.

try calling the pharmacy to find out right away, though. I agree that it is better safe than sorry. Call your advise nurse too, or see if zoloft has an 800 number

i am a pharmacy tech, one they are correct, but generic brands,we feel, for our customers, the medical plans will not pay for non-generic, formulas they are trying to reduce costs.BE SURE TO CALL YOUR PHARMACY..do not take any medicine YOU ARE NOT sure of...better YOU SHOULD go TO SPEAK TO YOUR pharmacist
