Does anybody know where i can find the herbs for Swedish Bitters?
I am not looking for Maria Treben's herbs. I was able to get a different mixture from a freind in Germany but am not able to anymore for reasons that the relationship isn't well. The mixture had 26 herbs in it. I would like if i could find a mixture with at least that many if not more herbs. It is okay if I have to order overseas. I just need the herbs. Please, serious answers only. I really need these.

The link gets you to a site that gives the ingredients, but it would be way too time-consuming (and expensive) to try to get them individually.
Just search for "Grosser (or Kleiner) Schwedenbitter" on Google and you'll get many Apotheken (pharmacies) and health stores that sell the herbal mixture, all you need to do is mix it with liquor and let it rest.
I'll give you just 2 or three sites I found for the stuff (there are many more):
You can order it on-line like most stuff.
What country are you in? It can be bought in regular (though specialized) shops all over Europe.
Have you went to your Local Health food store?
Most carry Ricola Swedish Bitter Herbs.
You can make your own swedish bitter herbs
.. burdock, valerian, yarrow, ginseng, vanilla
and wee bit alcohol mix it all together!
you could cheat and use Buckleys Original and mix it with Ginseng.. you basically have the same thing or see www.chamonix.za/bitters.htm
